HEALTH and SAFETY POLICY

Ryton & Crawcrook Albion Tynedale FC aim to provide a safe and secure environment for our members and volunteers to enjoy their football coaching sessions and games. The Club will appoint annually at our AGM a Health and Safety Officer who shall oversee and monitor H&S within the Club including carrying our Risk Assessments when necessary.

The Club will take steps to ensure that the equipment we use and own is safe and secure and creates no danger to players, volunteers or the public. The Club will purchase appropriate Insurance cover annually which will cover the Club against third party claims to property or personal injury and meets FA minimum guidelines. Individual coaches will take responsibility for the safety of equipment within their coaching area and will promptly address and report any issues of concern.

The Club will ensure that a First Aid box is provided to every age group within the Club and meets FA ‘ratio per team’ guidelines. The Club will arrange for First Aid training courses and certificates for volunteer coaches as necessary that cover all age groups and meets FA ‘ratio per team’ guidelines The Club will record all reported incidents/accidents in an Accident Book. Incidents should be reported within 24hours of occurring. However, our vicarious responsibility ends outwith official club training times (as per official club website) and scheduled matches.

The Club will promote an active and healthy lifestyle that encourages our members to avoid drugs, smoking and excessive alcohol consumption.
